In the contemporary dynamic, changing, and developing environment, technology becomes a key resource that leads the firm to compete successfully. However, there is not any firm that can produce all of the technology to satisfy the need of market competition, technology transfer becomes a non-substitutable approach to acquire technology. Although technology transfer has been studied by large numbers of scholars in many academic fields, most of the studies based either on different countries or on different regions. What we have to point out is that most of technology transfer is now transacted through firm network. Therefore, it bears great significance to study technology transfer on the ground of firm network. In this research, based on the relevant study of technology transfer and firm networks, we conclude the factors influencing technology transfer and put forward the conceptual framework of this research. We systematically analyze the respective relationship between the factors of technology transfer process and technology transfer performance, and also we lay emphasis on how the firm network influences technology transfer performance. In the process of empirical analysis, a questionnaire's survey is carried out among firms in Zhejiang Provinces. 98 valid samples are collected out of 181 with return-ration 54.1%. The date is qualified according to the general rule of construct validity and reliability. Then we apply ANOVA, correlation analysis and regression analysis to test hypothesis raised in the conceptual framework. After quantitative analysis, some important results and conclusions are as follows:(1) When it isn't differentiated with high and traditional industry, the result shows that the factors including transferor's experience and transfer willingness, recipient's absorptive capability and acquirement willingness and the extent of communication have a positive impact on technology transfer performance, the nature of technology has a negative impact on technology transfer performance, but transferor's technical capability does not significantly contribute to transfer performance.(2) When it is differentiated with high and traditional industry, we find that the factors influencing technology transfer performance are different in the different industry.(3) The transferor's willingness is the mediator variable of social cohesion and technology transfer performance; the absorptive capability of transferee is the mediator variable of network range and technology transfer performance.(4) Firm size and R&D investment have positive impact on technology transfer performance; however, the characteristic of industry and the amount of technical staff have no significant contribution to transfer performance.
