Status And Problems Of The Investment Environment In Beijing

Relevant studies show that foreign investment has made great contribution to Beijing's city construction and economic development. The construction of investment environment is of great importance to attract foreign investment. Government and investors do not have same opinions on how to improve investment environment. As acceptors of investment environment, investors have the most direct opinions and suggestions. Aiming at picking out the most serious problems in Beijing's investment environment and make improvement accordingly, this essay has studied and collected relevant researches on investment environment of cities in China issued by authorized institutions home and abroad, such as World Bank, Fobus, China Social and Scientific Academy, Amcham China and Taiwan Electric Machinery and Electronics Association, and summed up major problems existing in Beijing's investment environment. This essay also focuses on what are the major differences between Beijing'investment environment and that of other cities in China. This study shows that Beijing's investment environment has gained marked achievement in recent years. Beijing's increasing overall competitiveness ranks among the top of major cities in China. The outstanding advantages of Beijing include: rich science and technology resources, high-quality human resources, and huge market potential.
