The supply and marketing cooperative is peasant's cooperative economic organization , the agriculture and rural area are the basis. Its creation and development go hand in hand all with the agriculture. It is important to prosperous rural economy. Currently, with the development of market-oriented economy , facing the effect of joining WTO and economic globalization, the dispersed peasant household has appeared much problem. Because manage scale is small , the information channel is few , systemization degree is low, single peasant households are difficult to resist the risk that the ever-changing marketplace brings about, also are unable to get added value beneficial result. Therefore, they are in weak power position in market competition. Development of agriculture needs structural adjustment and an industrial management of agriculture urgently. An industrial management of agriculture has the different organization form, but the cooperation is one of important form of agricultural industrialization in practice.The 16th National Congress of the CPC suggests clearly and definitely that, plans the development of the city and countryside economic society, the construction of modern agriculture, develops the rural economy, increases the farmer to receive, is the comprehensive construction well-off society's significant duty.And the supply and marketing cooperative is a perfect organization to linkproducing with circulating . In such background , the paper tries to carry out a systematic research and demonstration on the supply and marketing cooperative's function and localization in agricultural industrialization in the new period ,wishing that contribute a little and have actual meaning to the cooperative enterprise.By the analysis to cooperative economy character and an industrial management of agriculture necessity of supply and marketing cooperative, the paper includes that an industrial management of agriculture needs a supply and marketing cooperative,the supply and marketing cooperative also needs the industrial management of agriculture to explore the opportunity and develop itself.The supply and marketing cooperative has many advantages as a organizer ,a leader in the western agricultural industrialization.
