Stochastic Modeling Method And The Application Of Stochastic Modeling In Geological Model

In 1990, the first technical seminar topic in the thirteenth International Sedimentological Congress in London was Reservoir Sedimentology and Geological Modeling, which symbolized that issues of establishing reservoir geological model had attracted people's great attention. The establishment of reservoir geological model belongs to petroleum development geology, which is hot topic and focus in reservoir description. With advancement of computer technology and combination of computer and math, significant achievement has obtained in reservoir geological modeling, of which stochastic modeling has great advantages in term of its analysis and spatial distribution in aspect of uncertainty, and been widely applied into petroleum exploration and development, hydrogeology, and engineering geology.In this text taking the Dagang oilfield as the example to show the application of stochastic modeling and explore three-dimensional geological model of reservoir of Dagang oilfield, it will reliably support next-step well deployment and adjustment of development plan through the establishing of structural model, facies model and attribute model and analyzing model achievement. In chapter two, basic theoretical knowledge of geostatistics is introduced, in chapter three, the principle of stochastic modeling and some mainstream modeling methods, in chapter four, application of stochastic modeling methods at Dagang oilfield and experiment achievement.
