Polymer microemulsion can be called as nano emulsion, its nterfacial tension is very low,and it has the good ability of wetting, emulsification and solubilization. So it can infiltrates the solid surface and fabric's stoma perfectly. We can expect the advantage that ordinary emulsion hasn't if the polymer microemulsion used in coating, adhesive and detergent, etc.In this paper, atom transfer radical polymerization was introduced into microemulsion, to prepare the single-component polymer microemulsion and block copolymer microemulsion, meanwhile this paper researches on the reaction kinetics, characterizes the polymer structure, and discusses the influence factors of emulsion particle sizeFirstly this paper studied the RATRP microemulsion polymerization of butyl acrylate by initiator of AIBN and catalyst which prepared by FeCl3 and Phh,the reaction process presents certain controllability, small quantity of electrolyte NaCl can improve the controllability of polymerization process furtherly. On this basis, the combination of free radical telomerization and ATRP was introduced into into microemulsion.at first we prepare the seed microemulsion Cl-PVAC-CCl3 through the free radical telomerization, then make it initiate the ATRP of butyl acrylate by catalyst which prepared by FeCl2 and Ph3,it is proved that we can get block copolymer combined by the group of-CC12-.By the influence of the electrolyte NaCl,we can get much more stable PBA microemulsion through ATRP microemulsion polymerization. But in the second stage after the free radical telomerization, latex particle size increase and become unstablem,we can get ideal embedded segment copolymer thin latex through the improvement of process.
