River, as an important carrier of natural resources and environment, was strongly disturbed by human activities, despite its role in providing landscape for urban development. With the continuous expansion of city size and artificial structures, the city river is gradually shrinking. Eutrophication has been increasing, and the water quality is deteriorating with aquatic ecosystems severely recessed。Therefore, the repair of the river becomes an important content of China's environmental protection. This article discusses river ecological restoration in Nanchang by conducting surveys of water quality and aquatic ecosystems.By introducing some successful case s of urban river ecological restoration technologies and methodes, especially the ecological riverbank technologies and aquatic phytoremediation in engineering practice. ecological restoration design was proposed for WuSHA river, a river in nanchang city.
