Scaling is a very common phenomenon during the process of the exploitation of the oilfields.Scaling becomes more and more serious with the exploitation of the oilfields and increasing quantity of water .Scaling will block the pathway of oil and gas ,decrease the permeability, reduce the competence of affusing and production of oilwell,and even destroy the equipments.It will affect the exploitation of oilfields seriously.Practices prove that using scale inhibitor is a kind of economic and efficient method. In light of the complicated components of scales and the single anti-scaling performance of scale inhibitors on markets,the aims of this paper is to synthesize two kinds of scale inhibitors used in oilfields,HL-1 and HL-2 and discuss the best reaction conditions from four factors.The effects of monomer molar ratio,reaction time ,reaction temperature and initiator are researched.Besides, evaluate the performance of them also in oilfield water.With the existence of initiator,scale inhibitor HL-1 was synthesized using MA,MAA and MAC.The best reaction conditions are followed as 1∶0.6∶0.4 of monomer molar ratio of n(MA)∶n(MAA)∶n(MAC),6h of reaction time,0.6% of initiator and 85-90℃of temperature.On the basis of HL-1,HL-2 was synthesized leading into another monomer AMPS.The best molar ratio is 1∶0.6∶0.4∶0.05 of n(MA)∶n(MAA)∶n(MAC)∶n(AMPS)。The characters and performances of HL-1 and HL-2 were studied.The results showed that HL-2 had more excellent inhibit properties than HL-1,especially for BaSO4 and SrSO4 scales.No flooculation appeared during the experiments. HL-2 had stronger temperature-resistant and sality-resistant than HL-1.And it can be used in environment with higher temperature and sality.The performances of HL-1 and HL-2 in oilfield water were evaluated.The results showed that HL-2 had more excellent inhibit competence than HL-1 on CaCO3,CaSO4,BaSO4 and SrSO4 scales,especially for BaSO4 and SrSO4 scales.HL-2 is a high performance scale inhibitor.
