For the gas characteristics of turbocharged oxygen-riched combustion, a test bench of ESP's discharge characteristics which is afford to 2MPa pressure has been built. Some experiments of discharge characteristics about temperature, pressure, distance between electrode and plate, and density have been done when the atmosphere is carbon dioxide, and the influence of every factor has been identified. A comparison and analysis for the law of corona inception voltage between carbon dioxide and the gas of conventional combustion has been done. Then a ESP's optimization based on fuzzy multi-objective programming has been designed with whose results a numerical calculation has been carried out. The experimental study and numerical calculation have got some conclusions as follows: when the atmosphere is carbon dioxide, compared to the condition of air media, discharge characteristics are much similar. The corona inception voltage has a slowly drop as the temperature rises, and it will be rising with the pressure, the distance between electrode and plate and density. Compared to the gas of conventional combustion, carbon dioxide demands a higher corona inception voltage. As a result of changes of gas characteristics, an ESP model based on multi-objective programming has been set up, and use its results to the numerical calculation. It shows that, the main factor of gas ion mobility is pressure which is proportional to gas ion mobility, while the temperature is inverse ratio to gas ion mobility. There are two mechanisms, electric field charge and diffusing charge, for charged dust. The diffusing charge is much more obvious when particle size is too small and the electric field charge will become dominant when particle size is big enough. It is helpful to increase applied voltage, decrease gas velocity and take a reasonable distance among electrodes and plate for improving collection efficiency.
