On studying the macro-programming technology in milling of angular surface and round coner based on contour, the single macro-programming technology in milling of angular surface or round corner is studied only at the moment, and incremental value of the controlled variable for controlling the precision of procession is studied seldom on the computed method and the theoretical basis, the macro-program is not used widely. For studying the macro-programming technology of the composite structure, the commonality and flexibility are improved greatly. Also, it provides the theory and technology basis for further-development of macro function in NC system and CAM.First, on the basis of the maximum deviation not more than program deviation, respectively regarding the depth incremental value of angular surface, the angle incremental value of convex round/concave round coner and the angle incremental value of eccentric angle of ellipse as the controlled variable, the computing formulas of the related incremental value are established with using endmill flat-bottom cutter, ball cutter and bull endmill cutter in NC milling. As a result, it provides the theory basis for selecting the incremental value.Second, the maths model and computed method among offset data, depth, initial/terminal value of controlled variables and the controlled variables are constructed. Based on the combination of angular surface and round corner, the research is carried out on solving triangle when using different kinds of cutters. As a result, it provides the necessary technical basis of programming for assignment and calculation of tool radius compensation data in program.Third, the basic theory, general steps, attentions of macro-programming and programming methods of sub-program are studied. On the basis of contour milling from bottom to top with the fitting principle of straight line approximation curve, a universal macro-program of any combination of angular surface and round corner is established, in which programmable parameter input function of tool radius compensation value is used. With assignment for the related variables, the program can be used to thirty-four kinds of occasions, including six kinds of combination, three kinds of cutters, boss and cavity of contour. As a result, the macro-program is of great practical value in machining.At last, by an example (milling of ellipse cavity) with programming technology mentioned above, specific details are analyzed in application(process analysis, cutting para., controlled variables, the radius of cutting in&out, etc.). Methods and measures are presented to optimize the macro-program. Rough & finish programs of milling of ellipse cavity are worked out. Comparing with the program of CAD/CAM, macro-programming is of greater superiority.
