Explosive welding is widely used in national economic constructions and national defence industries, and the explosive property is the important factor which affects the quality of explosive welding, especially, it requires that the explosive has low detonation velocity. At present, the low detonation velocity explosives used in explosive welding are made by adding lots of salt into the ordinary power explosive and field artificial mixing and stirring, but this method makes mixing explosive non-uniform, and it is affected by season, which makes easily low velocity detonation of explosive extremely unstable, and so it affects the quality of explosive welding.The mechanism of low velocity detonation of explosive and influencing factors of detonation velocity were analyzed in this paper, it referred the production process of expanded ammonium nitrate, the ammonium nitrate, fuel oil, expansion agent, water and diluents were chosen as explosive components, the compound design was made by the detonation velocity of explosive as objective function. The components were mixed and expanded, the optimal process condition was determined by experiments.The relation between the addition quantity of diluents T,P and detonation velocity was analyzed by experiment in the topic, the explosive detonation velocity change, national bulk density and brisance of welding explosive which has different content diluents in different charge diameter were analyzed. The proportion of diluent T and P is 30:5 in the case of detonation velocity meeting welding requirement.The samples of low detonation velocity explosives used in explosive welding were made by safety test in this topic, the results show that the impact sensitivity and friction sensitivity are both low. The curves of DSC and TG of explosive sample in different heating rate were obtained by the method of DSC-TG, and the activation energy of thermal decomposition and pre-exponential factor were calculated by different method, which showed that the explosive safety was very good.The explosive welding experiments were carried on the stainless steel- steel composite plate, aluminum-steel composite plate, titanium-steel composite plate and copper-steel composite plate by the welding explosives, and the welding quality was tested by ultrasonic, mechanical properties and metallographic analysis. The results show that the explosive has low detonation velocity, and the detonation property is very stable, the welding of composite plate has a good composite ratio and quality, this explosive is an ideal low detonation velocity explosive used in explosive welding, which has widely popularized and applied prospect.Figure [45] table [20] refers [49]...
