It is a necessary extension that comparativing study of the environmental relationship between investment and economic development from the regional level and seeking the policy path to promote coordination of the various regional economic development.There is relationship with the interaction between environmental protection investment and economic development:Investment in environmental protection through direct or indirect way to promote economic development. And economic development has brought enough financial and technical support for the environmental protection investment, and it also to provide the necessary physical infrastructure for the environmental protection investment. This article aims to focus on the main line what investment in environmental protection to promote regional economic development and regional economic development to promote environmental protection investment demand, to comprehensive and in-depth theoretical analysis and empirical research on the relationship between environmental protection investment and economic development of three areas in China. On this basis, the feasibility of the policy recommendations put forward.First of all, This article related knowledge by integrating knowledge of ecological economics, Emphasize the theory and the interaction mechanism between environmental investment and economic growth based on previous studies, and the scope of environmental protection investment were defined:Refer only to environmental pollution control investment. Mainly includes three aspects:urban environmental infrastructure construction investment, industrial pollution control investments and new projects "three simultaneous" environmental investment. So, it has laid a theoretical foundation for subsequent research.Second, Using a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis methods. Respectively from five aspects that are the total investment in environmental protection, environmental protection investment-GDP ratio, environmental protection investment elasticity, environmental protection investment structure, relative efficiency of environmental protection investment to make a comparative analysis between environmental protection and economic development of three areas in china. Concluded that:Large differences in the total environmental protection investment of three regions; The relative proportion of environmental protection investment accounts for the proportion of regional GDP is relatively small and show a downward trend; Regional structure and direction of environmental protection investment unreasonable; The growth of investment in environmental protection and regional economic growth is not synchronized; Relative efficiency of the regional environmental protection investment is also different.Then, respectively, from theoretical and empirical analysis of the relationship between environmental protection investment and economic development of three regions. This paper applies panel unit root test, cointegration test and panel Granger causality test to make an empirical study on the impact of three areas'environmental protection investment into economic development.The empirical results show that there is a long-term equilibrium relationship between environmental investment and economic development in eastern, central and western regions. Moreover,the three aspects of environmental protection investment impact on economic development was significant regional differences;There is also different in the short and long-term Granger causality between the three aspects of environmental investment in different regionand and economic development. The conclusion provide a certain basis for long-term strategy and short-term policy of Environmental Protection Investment.Finally, based on a comprehensive analysis of the relationship between investment and economic development in regional, we mainly from the following seven areas put forward countermeasures and suggestions related to:Construction and improvement of the financial system of regional environmental protection; To establish regulatory mechanism of regional environmental protection funds; Optimize the regional environmental protection investment structure; Strengthening of regional environmental protection industry; Increase investment in regional environmental investment; Improve the efficiency of environmental investment; Cultivate a wide range of investors.
