The Research Of Aesthetics Evaluation Methods Of Furniture

This work has established a new aesthetic evaluation system of furniture, which is based on modern product aesthetic evaluation theory and by studying the surveys and analysis of the current aesthetic evaluation methods of furniture. The new system is divided into five parts-the research of user's features, directly aesthetic evaluation, indirect aesthetic evaluation, comprehensive aesthetic evaluation and an example of empirical research of contemporary and contracted sofa. The main results are concluded as follows:1. Using methods of Kansei Engineering to construct a scientific and reasonable aesthetics evaluation model of furniture, the model has two indexes-indirectly aesthetic evaluation and directly aesthetic evaluation. The indirectly aesthetic evaluation has four subordinate secondary indexes-bands, craft, service and materials. The directly aesthetic evaluation has three subordinate secondary indexes-modeling, color and texture. The secondary indexes, modeling, color and texture, have some subordinate third grade indexes which is confirmed by semantic finite difference method and products.2. Research and summarize the workflow of implementation of furniture aesthetic evaluation.3. Use the questionnaire and analytic hierarchy process method for aesthetic evaluation, which has established the research method of aesthetic evaluation of furniture.4. This work applied the aesthetic evaluation method on evaluating the aesthetics of contemporary and contracted sofa for empirical study, which has proved practicability of aesthetic evaluation method of furniture.
