Design And Research Of Children's Furniture Based On Kansei Engineering

As an indispensable product during children's life,children furniture has a subtle influence on children's growth.However,the existing design of children's furniture focuses on meeting the basic physiological needs of children,and pays less attention to the growing psychological development needs of children.This kind of demand upgrade puts forward higher requirements and challenges for children furniture design.Therefore,from the perspective of children's needs,this study classifies and ranks children's physiological and kansei needs in family life,then studies the corresponding relationship between extended functions of children's furniture and children's kansei needs,and then summarizes the design elements of kansei needs.Finally,it constructs a set of design process and methods of children furniture based on kansei needs,and through investigation and design.The process and method are validated in practice.The specific research contents are listed as follows:(1)Collect children needs vocabulary with documentary method and interviewing method,categorize children needs with card sorting,prioritize children physiological needs and kansei needs combining with AHP(analytic hierarchy process),and provide basis for the further research of children furniture kansei needs.(2)Design children furniture kansei evaluation questionnaire and collect data by SDM(semantic differential method),research the correlation between kansei needs and children furniture extension function with quantitative theory,and summarize the design elements of kansei needs in children furniture extension function.(3)Establish children furniture design framework based on kansei needs,summarize children furniture design requirements based on the design elements of kansei needs in furniture extension function,and construct the children furniture design procedures and methods based on kansei needs.(4)By design investigation,it learned the market scope of applying kansei needs into children furniture design,and on this basis,children furniture design practice is conducted according to the design results of this research,verifying the feasibility of children furniture design procedures and methods based on kansei needs.
