| Currently, the general CAD system has been widely used in machinery, architecture, electronics and other related industries, but the general CAD system can not fully meet the requirements of different industries. In the foundry industry, different companies have different process design standards, specifications and standard parts libraries, there are no accepted standards for the whole industry, so it is need to use secondary-development technology to develop the cast process design CAD system on general CAD platform for foundry industry.Erzhong foundry's main products are large steel castings, the process design for large steel casting is complex and arduous, technologists need to use a lot of energy to draw and look up tables. In order to reduce the labor intensity and improve the efficiency of new product development, erzhong foundry and huazhu software center have developed a casting process CAD system for large steel castings.According to the CAD platform used in erzhong foundry and comparing with the popular development environment, the large steel casting process CAD system has been developed on AutoCAD2006 platform in the use of ObjectARX2006 secondary development tool with VS2002.NET environment, based on casting process design rules and actual production. The casting process CAD system consists of riser system design, gating system design, chill system design, sand core system design and common casting process parameter system design, an auxiliary system for actual production is also included. The entire process CAD system covers the complete casting process design.The casting process CAD system has been applied in actual production in erzhong foundry, according to the usage situation the process CAD system can simplify and speed up the process design, reduce the workload. |
