With the continuous progress of science and technology,the product has been demandedmore and more tend to personalize by the market.So modern manufacturing is bound to varieties,small batch production.To accommodate this mode of production and application requirements,open CNC system has been established,which is also a good way and have a wide range ofapplications in the present and future industrial applications.A common platform for the NC to be built and the specific task of measuring the thicknessto be completed is the purpose of this paper.At first the domestic and international status andtrends of NC technology and the technical development of thickness measurement has beenanalyzed.Through analyzing current construction of the open numerical control system,"PC+motion controller"program of open CNC system has been proposed.Online non—contact openCNC measuring systems has been constructed,in which PC is as a platform,PMAC is as thecore,laser sensors is used for measurerrmt.The design of hardware structure of the CNC measuring system,as well as the overalldesign of CNC measuring system has been proposed.The building of the hardware platform hasbeen described in detail,including the choice of sensors,the design of the mechanical platformand the key components--U--frame especially.Eventually the construction ofthe systemhardwarehas been achieved.In the design of system software,multi—threading technology and the conceptof modular design have been adopted.The requirements as multi—tasking,real—time,modularhave been implemented in the software.At the same time experimental analysis has been carriedout,the reliability and practicability of the system has been verified well....
