With the progress of science and technology, the demand for the better quality of spinning as well as the higher production efficiency is becoming more and more intensive for the Textile industry. As the most important link of the Textile industry, the production quality of sliver produced by drawing frame directly determines the product quality of subsequent cotton spinning process. On-line inspection system for sliver quality of drawing frame can detect production quality instantly,monitor operation states of drawing frame, is suitable for modernization high-speed digital drawing frame of Cotton industry. At present the technology is for foreign enterprise monopoly, it is of great significance to develop the on-line inspection system for sliver quality of drawing frame with independent intellectual property rights .Based on the analysis of the function of current on-line inspection system for sliver quality of drawing frame,this paper proposes and implementes the monitoring system for the running states of drawing frame.Based on research the development course and study status of the on-line inspection system of drawing frames for sliver quality, at first,this paper analyzes and studies its function constitute; then completes signal mathematical modeling for the sliver, constructes system framework for monitoring system for the running states of drawing frame, and completes the sensor selection and calculation for mechanical waves of drawing frame; The next, based on the LabVIEW virtual instrument,this paper implementes the algorithm simulation on the theory level and algorithm level, validates the algorithm to implement it on STM32 microprocessor.This paper successful transplantes the algorithm of system to the STM32 microprocessor, involving scheme selection, module implementation and communication module part, etc.Finally this paper verifies the operational results of algorithm simulation based on the LabVIEW virtual tool with D81 drawing frame ,which equipmented On-line inspection system for sliver quality of drawing frame provided by USTER company,also verifies the operational results of algorithm implementation based on the STM32 microprocessor with D101 drawing frame, summarizes and prospectes the full paper.The algorithm of monitoring system for the running states of drawing frame proposed and implemented in this paper can be adjusted flexibly and the function of monitoring system for the running states of drawing frame can be cut out easily. Experimental results show that the system runs stably and the calculated results are accurate and high precision.
