Drawing is the last craft to improve the quality of spinning, have a decisive role to thequality of the sliver. Therefore, the high-performance drawing frame occupies an importantposition in the textile industry. With the development of the textile industry in our owncountry, we urgently need to develop Drawing Frame made by our own country in highefficiency which is the key task in the transformation and upgrading of the textile machineryindustry, while so far, we still imported these machines from developed countries. It is soterrible.This paper discussed the autoleveller control system based on ARM&FPGA, thecontents included the principle and overall structure of the system, the design andimplementation of the hardware and software for this system. Finally, the paper completedsome experiments based on this system.First, the paper discussed the roller drafting principle and the autoleveller principle indetail from the angle of draft structure and control principle. Second, the paper analyzed thedesign needs of this control system, and then proposed the system solution based on ARM&FPGA. Finally, the paper elaborated an overall structure of the control system. The controlsystem was mainly composed by hardware circuit and software program. After we have aclear understanding of the structure of this system, the paper then described the system’shardware and software features and elaborated the key methods to achieve these functions.Finally, the paper introduced the hardware structure of the board, described the function,structure and implementation of each module in FPGA in detail. Then the paper described thealgorithm design based on ARM with reference to a flowchart.In short, autoleveller control system described in this paper has been installed in D101LDrawing Frame and run for a long time. The experiments demonstrated the neat andwell-spaced effects of the control system were excellent which could improve the quality ofthe cotton efficiently, and the long-running stability was very good, so the system could meetthe general needs of our industry.
