The design and manufacturing process of mold depend on experience and technology greatly, knowledge resources have become a kind of important competitive forces of manufacturing enterprises, its value and position are increasingly emergent in the market competition. According to the issues of knowledge integration of mold enterprise, this paper has carried out research on the theory and the key techniques of knowledge integration based on ontology, and finally realized the knowledge integration system based on ontology for mold enterprises.After the research and analysis of the theory and main language of ontology, the Web Ontology Language (OWL) is chosen as the descriptive language. Research is conducted on the methods of constructing ontology based on OWL, the concept tree is established on the basis of knowledge classification framework of mold production, then the basic OWL ontology is set up by modeling tools Protégé. Ill-structured knowledge like documents and images are transformed to structural knowledge and described by Resource Description Framework (RDF), then stored in the file management system as the individuals.In order to check the consistency and perfect the basic ontology, and let the knowledge base support the rule-based searching, the reasoning technique is proposed. After studies of the Semantic Web Rule Language(SWRL), inference engine Pellet and regulation engine JESS, the consistency and expansibility of the knowledge base is ensured by the reasoning process proposed for the OWL ontology base.According to the reality of mold enterprise, three ways of knowledge acquisition is proposed. Combining experience feedback model and concept graph knowledge description, the method of knowledge acquisition based on circuit is realized by transforming concept graph to OWL ontology. This solution combines the process of knowledge extraction with the actual production and possesses the ability of extracting implicit knowledge effectively. Through transforming documents, images to the individuals of ontology based on the file management system, the method of knowledge acquisition based on the file management system is realized, which can organize large number of scattered documents effectively and integrate them into knowledge system. Through transforming XML files, database lists to OWL ontology based on Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) , the knowledge acquisition solution of heterogeneous system is proposed, which enables this knowledge integration system to extract knowledge from heterogeneous system and possess valid adaptability.Finally, on the basis of research above, the file management system and knowledge integration system are implemented based on information systems integration platform for mold enterprise. This solution well validates the theories?and methods, provides train of thought and software support of knowledge accumulation, sharing and reuse for mold enterprises.
