Plate is one of the important products in steel industry. It plays an important role inour national econimic,and it is an important steel material on which national economicdevelopment depends. Temperature control of plate in the production process directlyaffects the quality of the final products. So the control study of slab temperature in theplate heating,rolling and coolling process has important theoretical and practicalsignificance. Objected with plate production process of domestic factory in this paper, thetemperature distribution was studied in the plate heating,rolling and coolling process.Based on the actual production process of the plate in this paper, the two-dimensionalunsteady mathematical model of plate heating,rolling and coolling process wererespectively set up by finite difference method. And the initial conditions and boundaryconditions were provided. Finally we use the method of energy balance to solve themathematical model respectively.Based on DEFORM software platform, by the use of finite differernce methods, thetwo-dimensional thermal-mechanical finite element analysis model was established from60mm to250mm. We got an approximate model for local strain variation over materialthickness, which was fit the data from simulation rusults. And we put the model into theprocedure calculation. For the actual process conditions, this article has simulated rollingprocess. The distribution of all kinds of field variables of plate rolling process has been got.And the results compare with that which got from the factory to verify the correctness ofthe simulation.On the basis of the full understanding the plate heating, rolling and coolling process,the text used the Visual Basic language to develop the temperature control simulationsystem of plate heating and the temperature control simulation ststem of plate rolling andcoolling respectively. For the temperature control simulation module of plate heating, itcould respectively simulation plate heating of different steel grades, different productionconditions and equipment parameters. And it could get the slab temperature distribution in plate heating every time. For the temperature control simulation module of plate rollingand coolling, it could change different steel grade, different rolling process parameters andthe equipment parameters of coolling. At last, it can get the temperature distribution in theplate rolling and coolling.At last the change rules of main factors to temperature in the plate heating, rollingand coolling process were studied by the simulation system. And the guiding significantconclutions to the plate production process were found.
