Plate products are widely used in many areas of the national economy, such as large-scale shipbuilding, marine engineering, bridges, large-diameter oil and gas pipelines, large pressure vessels and storage tanks, heavy construction structure and so on. So select plate rolling simulation as a research topic to be enormously significant. Using the computer program to develop a plate rolling process simulation system, this system can predict the parameters which change in the rolling process, and the forecast results have reference value on development of plate rolling process.According to the basic principles of heat transfer, analysis the temperature conditions of plate rolling characteristics, and on this basis, determined four temperature difference calculation model of the plate rolling process. The four basic areas are air-cooled, high-pressure water descaling, roll rolling contact with the temperature drop and temperature rise during rolling deformation. Given a right way to determine the important parameters in temperature difference calculation model: thermal conductivity, density, convection heat transfer coefficient of steel under high temperature. A new spread computational model is set up base on the original computational model of spread and correction parameters according to the results measured. Determine the rolling force for plate rolling calculation model according to the literature and give a reasonable method to determine the various parameters of the model. Particular the choice of deformation resistance model linked the rolling force and rolling calculation of the material and temperature and lay foundations for rolling simulation system.Finally, developed a simulation system for plate rolling bases on Visual C++6.0 programming software, the system interface intuitive and very easy to operate,and forecast the plate rolling process parameters of each pass such as rolling temperature, width, rolling force , rolling moment and so on.
