| With China's rapid economic development and national awareness enhancement, culture and art with strong Chinese characteristics are undergoing rapid recovery. Chinese-style dress as a national business card is getting more and more attention and can be seen everywhere in the streets and lanes. Meanwhile, people around the world love Chinese traditional costume because of its unique style and rich content, and designers throughout the world obtain materials and inspiration from Chinese traditional costume and have designed a wide variety of clothing with Chinese characteristics. Therefore, inheritance, development and innovation of Chinese elements are worth doing in-depth study and research, and the Chinese traditional elements should apply to more areas. This can carry forward our traditional culture.Along with the arrival of an aging society, clothing market for the aged has great development potential, but its development in China is relatively slow. Elderly people's dressing problem has become a social problem and gotten more and more attention, it is necessary to do research, design and guidance on clothing of middle-aged to elderly people. By using observation, questionnaires, statistical analysis, survey and research, this thesis collected the necessary data to analyze the characteristics of elderly people's body size and their real aesthetic and consumption demands. According to the characteristics of elderly people's body size, this thesis discusses the appropriate solutions in the way of garment structure and provides practical information for actual clothing design for the aged.This thesis also researches the nationality problem in elderly clothing to fully develop the ethnic characteristics of decorative arts. It finds the meeting point between elderly clothing and Chinese elements. The clothing design for the aged should fully reflect ethnic characteristics and form an elderly clothing culture with Chinese characteristics. |
