The iron ore treated in this paper comes from Yabaling stope in Anshan. They are low-grade hematite ore, the iron grade is about 23% and the content of SiO2is more than 50%. The iron minerals in the ore are mainly hematite, martite and magnetite, and there are a few limonite and siderite. The iron minerals are about 40% in the ore, whose size are 0.01-0.2mm. The gangue minerals is amounts of quartz, little orthoclase and actinolite, which account for 60% and there size are 0.05-0.15mm.The iron ore from south region in Yabaling stope were desliminged after crushing and grinding. The setting sands are the feeding of gravity separation. The overflowing products are the feeding of the high intensity magnetic separation mixed with the fine product of gravity separation. And then by adopting the reverse flotation of single-stage roughing, single-stage scavenging and single-stage cleaning, a concentrate of 51.68% iron was obtained with a iron recovery of 73.41% under the iron grade of the feeding of the high intensity magnetic separation is 17.24%. Meanwhile the iron grade of tailing is 15.52% with the iron recovery of 26.59%. It obtained such a fineness index is contribute to the pertinence of the separation processing which character in the feeding of the high intensity magnetic separation are the overflowing products of desliming mixed with the fine product of gravity separation. It simply and improve magnetic-floating associated processing, but also control the loss of iron ore in the fine size products which contribute to the grade and recovery of iron.The total iron content in lean hematite ore of Yabaling stope is low, and the crystal granularity of iron minerals is inequality. These bring problems to separate the minerals efficiently. Only adopt suitable separation flow and operating parameters, fine separation indexes can be obtained. Considering the characteristics of the ore, we reinforce to control the recovery of fine-sized iron minerals in this paper and so good effect is obtained.
