CNG filling stations are rapidly developing in China, but due to high pressure operation with a high degree of risk, a higher quality of staff is required and pre-job training is essential too. With the development of CNG technology, CNG station equipment and control technology gradually catch up with the international standards, at the same time training requirements have become more and more sophisticated.However, the improvement of modern computer technology and hardware leads to that the users can not satisfy with the two-dimensional graphical user interface. Pursuing the immersive feeling, people have an urgent requirement for the construction of three-dimensional realistic environment. Therefore, the virtual simulation training system comes into being.Currently, the forms of traditional CNG stations training is single, and it can not be vividly and accurately reflect the scene inside the station, can not meet the needs of users. Therefore, stations need a complete virtual three-dimensional environment to complete staff training.Based on the above requirements, this paper took a CNG filling station in the Nanchong City as a prototype, collected the relevant data, analysed the CNG filling stations equipment constitution, control theory and technology procession. Applying the three-dimensional modeling software, finally, a simulation based on virtual reality training system was formed. Three-dimensional simulation model was based on equipment, pipes and other image data in fieldwork, for different equipment, different parts of the properties and internal structure. Based on the 3ds Max software modeling, the complete modeling program after analysis and processing of all angles was obtained. The model was made in the basic principles of three-dimensional modeling, and then together with many other models combined into the effect graph of field simulation. After optimized processing and rendering, etc, they were integrated into the system ultimately.Successfully, this paper studied the three-dimensional modeling and virtual simulation, which had a very good effect in practical application. In addition, this system could be applicated repetitively,which improved the efficiency of the employees, and reduced the cost of training stations to large extent simultaneously.
