Greenhouse effect could cause global warming. It also caused serious damage to the ecological environment. People used many sever measures to control carbon dioxide emissions. However, the limitation on carbon dioxide emissions would have a bad influnce on social and economic development. Hence, development of the absorption carbon dioxide adsorption technology and good separation materials would benefit us both socially and economically. Therefore, the purpose of this experiment is to study the carbon dioxide adsorbent which has good adsorption effect through the experiments on the activated carbon fiber, activated carbon, zeolite and the modified activated carbon adsorption. This paper, based on research on activated carbon adsorption of carbon dioxide, studied three main factors: the molar concentration of carbon dioxide, the feed gas flow rate and adsorption temperature. It also recorded the adsorption capacity and breakthrough curves of carbon dioxide. The experimental study showed that, raising the carbon dioxide concentration of the feed gas inlet and increasing feed gas flow rate was favorable for the adsoption of the active canbon; However, increasing adsorption temperature was not favorable for the adsorption of the active carbon. According to this study conditions, experiments on the adsorption of carbon dioxide were researched at room temperature which was 25℃, pressure which was 0.1MPa, carbon dioxide concentration of the feed gas which was 10%, feed gas flow rate which was 0.1L/min. According to this conditions, experiments on active carbon fiber and zeolite were researched. It also recorded the adsorption capacity and breakthrough curves of carbon dioxide. The research on the modified activated carbon's adsorption of carbon dioxide, chemical properties on activated carbon surface, the gap structure showed these have impact on adsorption. Increasing the oxygen and carbon surface functional groups and increasing the pore structure of activated carbon will improve the adsorption properties of activated carbon. The experimental results showed that the 25℃at room temperature, pressure 0.1 MPa conditions, carbon dioxide concentration to 10%, feed gas flow in 0.1 L/min conditions, for 10% of copper acetate solution, then after activation 6 hours of active carbon adsorption quantity biggest carbon dioxide. Compared with other adsorbents, activated carbon was of low cost and activated carbon after adsorption could be buried in soil, sea and oil and gas layer, and pollution-free, so it was better to use modified activated carbon.
