In recent years, sudden water pollution accidents are increasing. Because of its features such as uncertainty of occurred time and place, many related inducing factors, discharging enormous concentrative pollutants instantly, difficulty to handle timely and effectively by existing facilities and easily causing secondary water environmental problems, sudden water pollution incidents not only cause enormous losses to local economic, social and ecological environment, but also directly threaten the safety of local water quality and water environment. Today, with the short supply of water resources, the sudden water pollution incidents are paid more and more attention by domestic and international world. How to prevent sudden water pollution incidents effectively and how to treat it timely afterwards have become the urgent problems.The research object of this thesis was sudden water pollution incidents. In this paper, we studied the emergency response support system for sudden water pollution accidents using system analysis, model simulation and database technology. It mainly included that:(1) On the basis of literature search, this thesis analyzed and summarized the theoretical basis, research progress and application status of the research subject, and introduced the properties, characteristics, harmfulness and causes of sudden water pollution incidents.(2) It mainly studied emergency response technology for sudden water pollution accidents which included emergency preparedness, emergency grading, emergency monitoring and the emergency disposition.(3) This thesis researched and designed emergency response support system for sudden water pollution accidents by using WASP, GIS, vb.net, database technology, emergency response system theory and technology, and had accomplished the whole system design, database design, subsystem design and system interface design.(4) This thesis introduced the realization process of the emergency response support system for sudden water pollution accidents in detail. It taken the water pollution accidents caused by CH3OH tank leaking in natural gas purification plant as an example simulated the pollutants transfer process in water by WASP7 water quality model to get the access to the dynamic timing simulation results of the pollutant (CH3OH). And according the simulation results gave emergency plans of the unexpected water pollution accident afterward.The result showed that:The system established by using computer system, GIS and WASP7 was a kind of environmental management means which was advanced and reliable technically, rational and feasible economically, simple and rapid in the process. It provided the powerful decision support for emergency response management of sudden water pollution incidents. And also had certain reference for research and application of other similar emergency support system.
