Cephalosporin intermediate is one of the most representative characteristic pollutants in the wastewater of cephalosporin antibiotics pharmaceutical industry. It is also one of the major factors of influencing the effluent chemical oxygen demand (COD) to meet the discharge standard. So treat the cephalosporin intermediate wastewater brook no delay.In this paper, we used complete mixing activated sludge process (CASP), conventional membrane bioreactor (CMBR) and novel multi-loop membrane bioreactor (NMBR) on treatment of the cephalosporin intermediate wastewater. And studied their treatment effect of the pollutants (COD, BOD, NH4+-N, TN, Cephalosporin intermediates) in Cephalosporin intermediate wastewater, researched the influence of NMBR treatment effect in different environmental factors.The removal rate of the COD, BOD, NH4+-N, TN and Cephalosporin intermediates was NMBR>CMBR>CASP. In the CASP, CMBR and NMBR, when the HRT was 14h, the COD removal rate was 86.9%,93.0% and 94.9%; the NH4+-N removal rate was 84.1%,86.1% and 89.1%; the TN removal rate was 56.1%,63.9% and 71.7%; the 7-ACA removal rate was 77.7%,77.7% and 81.1%; the GCLE removal rate was 77.6%,81.5% and 83.4%. The experimental datas showed that the treatment effect of COD, BOD, NH4+-N, TN and Cephalosporin intermediates using NMBR was good, so NMBR treat cephalosporin intermediate wastewater was technically feasible. In the same reactor, with the decreased of HRT, the removal rate of the COD, BOD, NH4+-N, TN and Cephalosporin intermediates dropped.In this study, we also researched the influence of NMBR treatment effect in different environmental factors, and the optimal process parameters were obtained by the experiments. Comprehensive considered the removal efficiency and economic feasibility, ascertained the optimal HRT was 14h, the optimal temperature was 20℃, the optimal dissolved oxygen is 2.0mg/L.The study applied SPSS to discussing linear correlation, modeling and analysis on the removal rate datas of COD, NH4+-N and 7-ACA during stable operation. This paper revealed quantitative relation between different environmental factors and COD, NH4+-N and 7-ACA removal rate.
