Weak cementation soft rock roadway is a new problem that appeared during the mining of western coal mines. Studying on the support technology and construction technology has great importance on accelerating the mining on western coal mines and ensuring the energy supply of our country.This article takes the roadway support of Weak cementation soft rock as the major contents. By means of theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and field practice, mainly solved the problems as follows:(1) The characters of weak cementation soft rock is summarized, and the characters such as weak cementation, low strength, easy weathered, easy hydrolysis and incomplete rock-forming is pointed out.(2) The stress and displacement distribution law of circular roadway is derived by using the strain softening model, and the yield approach degree and strain softening approach degree is introduced to evaluation the stability of the surrounding rock.(3) The stress and strain evolution law of the roadway surrounding rock is analyzed by means of considering the broken of the roadway as a progressive failure. Besides, Using numerical simulation software, the stability under different primary rock stress distribution and different part of the surrounding rock is analyzed. Finally, the principle that the support of the weak cementation soft rock roadway should follow is pointed out.(4) The action mechanism and applicability in the weak cementation soft rock roadway of many kinds of supports is discussed. The selection of support parameters is also discussed.(5) Aiming at the common problems encountered in the weak cementation soft rock roadway, such as water-rich weak cementation soft rock roadway, weak intercalation and floor heave, the stress distribution law is analyzed by using theoretical analysis and numerical simulation. Based on it, the prevention measures is put forward.(6) Combining with numerical simulation, the excavation of the weak cementation mudstone roadway and water-rich sandstone roadway in some coal mine is introduced to demonstrate the viewpoint of this article.
