Melted Extrusion Molding(MEM)is a kind of widely- used rapid prototyping process after Stereolithography and laminated object. It was operated easily and maintance with low cost and without laser.In MEM process, the critial elements are forming precision and process parameter. However, at present, both are needed more improvment and development. Therefore, Studing them is urgent the technological task and trend in the furture.This paper,firstly, introduces the principles, characteristics, existing problems and development trend of rapid prototyping as well as the keypoint,MEM Technology.Secondly, the paper analyses the constraint factors of Precision of workpiece,including errors from datas,processing condition and post-treatment.Thus,according to the above issues, some countermeasures are proposed.The Process parameter influcing the product quality are wokrd out, according to dimension accuracy. Furtherly,because the parameter optimization design-of MEM technological procedure are reflected on test objects,the new software for Rapid Prototyping—Aurora is introduced.
