Multi-component fabrics were developed and became more prominent in recent years, due to their ability to enhance the wearability. So far, no fiber can be separately used to meet the demands of multi-functional fabrics, it is an urgent task to develop new multi-functional fabrics which is made of different fibers. People in summer or in sports need their fabrics with the properties of moisture transferable, fast drying and cooling down. So research on this aspect will have broad prospects. In this thesis, we discuss knit design and knitting process of new multi-functional fabrics with two different materials, coolnice yarn and mica yarn. Then moisture-heat transfer and wearable properties of the fabrics were tested and analyzed.Through strong test and wicking test of the yarns(coolnice and mica), we find that both two kind of yarns has good breaking strength. Mica is more excellent than coolnice because mica contains sericite, its large surface area in favor of ranging molecules; coolnice yarn's wicking and liquid moisture transmitting get slower because coolnice belongs to DTY, its low twist is bad for cohesion among fibers. Low twist will make fibers independent separately, fibers intend to slide. coolnice yarn has higher breaking elongation. In order to further study on the mechanism of knitted dimension stability, the subject using two factors that temperature and time and each factor take three levels to make orthogonal experiment using dimensional changes after heat setting. Then obtains the optimal fabric thermosetting process and sample specifications such as thickness, weight and so on.Wearable properties of the fabrics test including:burst strength, fabric drape, crease recovery, pilling resistance, tensile elasticity and bending rigidity. By fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, we find that wearable properties of the interlock fabrics is generally more excellent than tuck fabrics because structure of the interlock fabrics is more uniform, besides thickness and density of the loop is more comfortable, that will help to improve the distribution of the force. Thermal-wet comfort of the fabrics test including:air permeability, wet permeability, moisture evaporation rate, dripping spread time, heating conduction. By fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, we find that thermal-wet comfort of the tuck fabrics is more excellent. Fabric's structure is the most important influence factor, secondly is the density of the loop and other factors.Fabrics combined with coolnice and mica have good properties of moisture transmission and heating conduction. They are quite fit for sports knitting fabrics in summer and also other aspects such as T shirt, underwear knitting, shoes and so on.
