With the development of people's living standard, they focus on their health and environment. Poly lactic acid (PLA) fiber is a new biodegradable polyester fibers, mainly com, wheat, sugar beet, cassava and other agricultural products which containing starch, even wheat straw as raw materials and convert into lactic acid by fermentation, and then make into synthetic fiber by polymerization and melt spinning process. PLA fiber has good strength and elastic recovery, good flexibility and drape, guided moisture and skin-friendly, antimicrobial, etc., has a good prospect in the field of clothing, industrial and decoration.This paper research the design point of PLA core spun yarn and the characteristics of it's spinning technology on the basis of understand the morphology, structure, mechanical properties and function of PLA fiber in detail, and to identify the optimal process parameters of spinning by orthogonal test, then design four different specifications of covering yarn, which be used to make into several fabrics with different specifications, organization or yarn. We test the properties of other fiber fabrics, such as cotton fabric, viscose fabric and polyester fabric and compare them with the PLA fabric, mainly selected nine indicators for testing from the mechanical properties, appearance performance and comfortable performance three aspects. Finally, use the method of Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation to make the objective and quantitative evaluation for the wearability of these fabrics. Then the paper draw the conclusion that how the factors such as raw materials, yarn structure, fabric structure, specification and so on effect the fabric perfonnances.We can draw the conclusion that the optimum process parameters for spinning of PLA covering yarn:twist 950 Twist/m, back draft ratio 1.30 times, spindle speed of about 11000 r/min. PLA fabrics have high bursting strength, superior moisture conductivity and draping, but there is also a problem that PLA fiber easily produce static electricity, piling resistance have also been affected. Mix PLA fiber and viscose fiber can effectively reduce the influence of static electricity. PLA fabric or the fabric content high levels of PLA fiber has fine overall performance by study and analysis, has the advantages of skin-friendly, breathable, guided moisture, especially for the development of summer fabrics. With the strengthen of people's health, environmental and energy awareness, enhancing the research of PLA fabric applications and development will bring significant social and economic benefits.
