In this paper, we developed a three-dimensional simulation system for mixing equipment using OGRE embedded in MFC framework. This System is used to simulate the rendering effect of different materials in different mixing equipments models and to provide help to choose appropriate mixing equipment model.First of all, as the complexity and diversity of mixing equipments brought a lot of problems to the storage and management of mixing equipments models, we analyzed the general model of mixing equipment and proposed a "whole-part-whole" design thinking. With the "whole-part-whole" design thinking, we can split and restructuring all mixing equipment models orderly.Secondly, in order to achieve the realistic rendering effect of materials mixed in different mixing equipments, we proposed two particle-system algorithms with the relevant knowledge of particle-system, which are Particle-system Construction Algorithm and Particle-system Rendering Algorithm. Particle-system Construction Algorithm is used to create appropriate particle-system scripts according to the mixed effect of different mixed materials. Particle-system Rendering Algorithm is used to design the overall rendering process for all created particle-systems according to the mixed process of materials in different mixing equipments.Then, we selected Sleeve-type absorber which is used in continuous absorption phase as an example, analyzed the design ideas of all function modules in three-dimensional simulation system and implemented three-dimensional rendering effects simulation of materials mixed in Sleeve-type absorber.Finally, by different groups comparative experiments, we researched and analyzed how material diameter, material concentration and stirrer speed reflect in three-dimensional rendering effects through some main properties of particle-system scripts, such as velocity, emitter_rate, direction, time_to_live, etc. Those researches provided a great help to render mixed effect in mixing equipments realistically.
