With the development of the computer simulation and 3D engine,3D simulation system is being used more and more in the chemical, aerospace and other fields. The process of the materials'rolling and plasticizing is very complex so that we can not analyze the processing scheme effectively. Furthormore, it used to focus on numerical simulation of the process in the past that can not display the materials'processing vividly. Therefore, using the 3D engine to realize the 3D simulation of materials'rolling and plasticizing is very important and meaningful.This paper will deeply analyze the characteristics of OGRE, its core subsystems and the way of scene management.After Sumerizing the workflow of OGRE, the paper introduces the way to developing the 3D programs with it.Analyse and conclude some theories in the processing. After the research and analysis of the particle system algorithm in detail, this paper supplies the division idea of materials.The scheme regards materials as a set of the material particles.Referring to the continuous processing stage, design the physical and motion models for them. Introduce the collision detection based on the material particles'postions. All these technologies make the 3D simulation system reflect the whole processing truely.This paper uses the 3D modeling tools to design the equipment models and collects the calculation models of the characteristic features in the processing.This paper makes the demand and function analysis for the system and gives the design solutions for it.Adopt the scheme that based on the OGRE engine and MFC application framework to realize the 3D simulation system.Embed the OGRE's rendering window to the MFC single document frame to supply the user-friendly interface.Meanwhile, import the models to the 3D scene.Combine the OGRE's particle system scripts and collision detection with the division idea of materials and the collision detection algorithm based on the material particles'postions that this paper presents to realize the virtual processing and supply the way to calculate the related characteristic features in the process. The results of system running indicate the rolling and plasticizing process can be observed vividly. It can supply some references to the improvements of the equipments and the process. Furthermore, this paper establishes a good foundation for the 3D simulation system of rolling and plasticizing in future.
