High-speed punch is a kind of important stamping equipment, with the further development of industry, the application scope of high-speed punch is further expanded, and it has played an important role in national economy. However, domestic high-speed punches are general poor at their reliability that has been the main factor influencing the performance and market competitiveness of them. Therefore, improving the reliability of domestic high-speed punches becomes an exigent issue to be solved. Basing on several aspects of the main power train's reliability design in the stage of high-speed punch's reliability design, the following research was made.By analyzing and summarizing every reliability allocation method, a reliability optimum allocation method of high-speed punch's main power train based on general cost function was put forward, and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation was used to obtain the parameters of the general cost function to make it more reasonable. Reliability optimization allocation model was set up, and the optimization model was solved by genetic algorithm toolbox in MATLAB, the reliability optimum allocation of the main power train was realized.According to the result of the reliability allocation, fatigue reliability analysis of the ball connecting rod which is the key part of the main power train was completed by combining finite element method and structure reliability theory in ANSYS/PDS software, the fatigue reliability of the connecting rod under the influence of various random factors was got, and the reliability of it was checked. In addition, the main influence factors were obtained through sensitivity analysis, the improvement suggestion was made according to the analysis result.The sliding bearing that is used in the balance mechanism of the main power train constantly goes wrong, such as the high temperature rising, the insufficiency load capacity. So the reliability optimization design for it was carried out, its performance parameters were regarded as optimal target, its reliability was regarded as constraint condition. As a result, its friction power consumption was reduced 17.44%. its load capacity was increased 26.22%, its dimension was reduced 16.28% based on the reliability requirement was fulfilled.This study presents a general reliability design method to the main power train of high-speed punch, also provides the basis theory and method for the reliability research of high-speed punch in future.
