The plate steel is an important kind of steel products which is essential in steel industry, and the accelerated cooling technology is a key process to improve the quality of plate steel products. Due to the highly complex process of accelerated cooling of rolled steel, it is difficult to build the mathematical model accurately. Once deviation occurs, it will be hard to meet the production requirements in a short time by self-deviation revising using self-learning method. To deal with such condition, this thesis refers accelerated cooling system construction project in ANSHAN IRON & STEEL GORUP CORPORATION as background; it develops off-line simulation and learning platform for accelerated cooling process of middle and heavy plates, which enables the platform the same functions as the real product line owned. It can provide the decisive basis for revising the parameters of the model and temperature compensation for model-deviation. The results indicated its application to the real product line, as well as realizing high precision control on ending cooling temperature and re-reddening temperature. The study of actual application indicates that the platform runs effectively in deviation correction in the temperature field model.The main works and results include:1,Based on local and international literature on accelerated cooling technology, it described the features and deficiency of conventional self-learning deviation correction on temperature field, and proposed improvement on models.2,The one-dimensional mathematical model is established based on the elementary theory of metal solidification and heat transfer. The model is applied to accelerated cooling simulation platform according to worksite situation.3,Offline studying system was built adopting the theoretical basis of expert system, and knowledge base was used to provide the decisive basis for revising model with the profile fitting method. The results of using temperature compensation illustrate that the rate of cooling is improved significantly.4,Considering the actual situation of the medium and heavy plates, a software system for offline study is developed by using the object-oriented use case analysis and design method and compiles cooling control software system design documents. This system is programmed by VC#.5,The system has been tested and proved to be reliable, easy to manipulate. It was running smoothly and can be used for practice.
