This article discussed concentration process of energy saving in view the characteristics that the high energy consumption of Chinese medicine pharmaceutical process from evaporation and concentration equipment designing and operating conditions. We design three different forms of evaporator and heat transfer area adjustable heater, complementary with small steam generator, steam condenser, cooling tower, condensed liquid recovery tank, vacuum pump and various kinds of pressure gage. With the steam condensate quantity and evaporation equipment as the index, experiment in different forms of evaporator, heater, regulate the heat transfer area, steam pressure and vacuum test, analyze the experimental date, then found that in the actual enrichment process, to achieve the established evaporation rate requirement, we can choose tube evaporator with less heat transfer area and longer tube and fewer tube number, then increasing the steam pressure to supplement the speed of the evaporation, the steam produced by this process should be separate from the this equipment as soon as possible to make sure that the separator is in high vacuum degree. Working in this method not only can meet the requirement of evaporation rate in investment and reduce the cost of the equipment, but also use less heating steam to complete the enrichment process, achieve the purpose of energy-saving and high efficiency. In this lab, after all conditions is optimized, steam utilization rate up to 81%, is 45.3% higher than the lowest steam utilization rate of 35.7%.
