Nitrogen heterocyclic compound(NHC) phenothiazine(PTS), hydroquinone(HQ), benzyl triethyl ammonium chloride(BTEAC) and Bisphenol A(BPA) were selected as inhibitors to improve storage life of novolac-epoxy vinyl-ester resin (Novolac-VER). The inhibitors were combined by orthogonal test and the best combination was found which most significantly improve storage life of Novolac-VER and the effect of the best combination on curing drift was studies. Quantitative analysis the change rate of C=C double-bond of Novolac-VER with the best combination in storage life at 80βand after cured by FTIR. The effect of inhibitors on cure kinetics was studied by DSC and Kissinger equation. The result showed that 0.03wt% NHC and 0.03wt% PTS were the best combination which can significantly increase the storage life of Novolac-VER from 11h to 60h at 80β, while HQ, BPA and BTEAC with little affection. The result of quantitative analysis showed that residual percentage of total C=C double-bond was 63.7% in 50h at 80β, and it can increase apparent activation energy of resin from 79.00KJ/mol to 87.44KJ/mol, which meaned that the best combination inhibitor made a good role of inhibiting. The result of the test of insoluble matter content of resin is 96.91%, which showed that the inhibitors would not effect final curing degree.NHC, PTS, HQ, BTEAC and BPA were selected as inhibitors to improve storage life of MFE-W3. The inhibitors were combined by orthogonal test and the best combination was found which most significantly improve storage life of MFE-W3. And effect of inhibitors on cure kinetics was studied by curing curves and DSC. The result showed that the combination which include 0.03wt% NHC,0.03wt% PTS and 0.03wt%(BPA:BTEAC) can increase the storage life of MFE-W3 from 23h to 69h at 80β, the combination which include 0.03wt% NHC and 0.03wt% PTS can increase apparent activation energy of resin from 76.95KJ/mol to 83.90KJ/mol, but curing drift was not improved. |
