As a kind of quality energy source, liquified Natural Gas (hereinafter referred to as theLNG) is meeting an increasing demand in the world, so, the requirements to LNG storagetanks is also increasing. As a significant device in the gas receiving station, it is an imprortantdepartment to provided guarantee for the crucial gas sectors as well as their safe operation of facilities, has the role that cannot be replaced, the liquid in the tank is flammable andcombustible liquids,once the tank damaged, a large number of flammable cryogenic liquidwill uncork, nevitably have influence on the structure o prestressed concrete performance andseismic response f the rigid wall, and may lead to fatal secondary calamity. So research theheat transfer of LNG outside wall during leaking and the seismic response is very necessary.This paper takes a50000m3overground LNG tank as the research object, using fluentsoftware to simulate the temperature field and using ADINA to research the seismic responseof outer wall, analyzes the the change rule of temperature along the thickness and heightduring LNG leakage, and seismic response of outer wall when leakage happened at differentheight, the results can provide theoretical basis for the security calculated during LNG tanksleakage.This paper mainly has two research contents:1.This paper first introduced the CFD software and related models, and aiming at threekinds of leakage conditions applied fluent software to analysis the temperature field of LNGoutside wall, get the change rule of temperature along the thickness and height during LNGleakage.2.Using the temperature results simulated by fluent software aimed at the leakage at fourheights of LNG storage tank, acquire the modulus of elasticity curve along with the change ofthe temperature at four heights, after understanding ADINA software,related model and theconstitutive relation between low temperature and concrete, using ADINA software to makemodal analysis at the full liquid stage of the LNG tanks and make seismic response analysis tofour heights of the tank, pick up displacement and acceleration and equivalent stress underthree seismic wave, then compared with the results which is given common elastic modulus,and get the influence of low temperature on seismic response of storage tank.The results of the study show that, the temperature along thickness is linear change of theoutside wall, the change along height is divided into two stages: temperature changesdramatic area and temperature changes gently area, in three kinds of seismic wave function,along with the increase of the highly liquid storing, displacement and equivalent stress alongthe direction of earthquake always trend of increase, the peak value of equivalent stress always appear from the bottom of2m in height of the rigid outside wall, so to increase thestrength here is necessary, in order to avoid destruction, comprehensive consideration ofperformance of the concrete and reinforcing steel bar at low temperature can get: in lowtemperature environment, the seismic response of LNG storage outside tank get lower., sowhen analysis the safety of LNG storage tanks during leakage, just can make earthquakeresponse calculation according to room temperature.
