To use the construction machinery sufficiently, the life cycle equipment manage information system (MIS) is presented. The system combines with the state of the art of the East-Union Construction machinery Company and aims at propelling its development. The system can improve the equipment manage level, helpful to equipment maintenance, improve maintenance efficiency, and decrease the maintenance cost. As a result, the work efficiency of the company is increased and the maintenance cost is decreased. The main content of the paper includes that the establish and maintenance of the equipment basic information coding, the equipment purchase management, the equipment treatment management, the equipment running and its maintenance management, the equipment tenancy management, the equipment cost checking management, the equipment statistic and analysis table management. Furthermore the system is adopted at the East-Union Construction Machinery Company and the real B-5 section of Xi'an-Baojian Highway Project in 2010. The system can quick collect, deal and transmit the infield information. The working efficiency is increased and the working cost is decreased. The system can guarantee to finish project at the high quality, low cost and high efficiency. The real example validated that the system design is reasonable, the content is comprehensive, the running is reliable and safety. It is useful for the real construction project.Based on the life cycle MIS, the cost checking of a single machine is studied, which realize the fine management of the equipment and propel the subjective activism of the driver. For the cost checking is proportional to the earning of the worker, which strength their passion and duty on work. It is effective to decrease the cost of the project and increase the utility ratio of the equipment.
