Recent years, highway asphalt pavement damages seriously, semi-rigid base pavement defect is one of the reasons. Flexible base pavement, because of its good performance, has been applied in many countries, but little used in China. Based on investing and testing the diseases exist in the asphalt pavement of Hebei Province, this paper analyzes the main disease and its causes of the current arterial highways. Presented to the cold recycling of asphalt mixture bubbles and ATB-30 asphalt stabilized macadam treated bituminous pavement as a flexible base overhaul. Shandong Binzhou by 70# asphalt bitumen foaming characteristics were studied under the temperature of 150℃,160℃and 170℃foam test, and changed four foam in water. The results showed that 70# asphalt of Shandong Binzhou at the temperature of 160℃, for 2% of the foam in water having good effect. Through laboratory and field test to determine flexible base material design and the flexible base mixture of water and high temperature stability was verified, and formulated a flexible base to develop technical solution used for pavement repair and construction the test roads via these technology programs conducted in-depth study of the theoretical analysis and calculation of pavement structure.The paper also proposes the demand for materials and equipment requirements of the foamed asphalt cold reclamation and the placement of ATB-30 mixture, and describes the construction technology,construction quality and acceptance standards of foamed asphalt cold reclamation in place and ATB-30 mixture.
