With the rapid economic development, natural gas as a low-emission clean fuel, its storage capacity and demand is growing; the LNG storage tank with storing liquefied natural gas is also growing at the same time. China is located between the circum-Pacific seismic belt and the Eurasian seismic zone with complex geological structures and seismic activity; she is the largest country in the world's earthquakes. In the event of earthquake damage, LNG storage tanks as an important Strategic reserves of energy will cause environmental pollution, fire and other secondary disasters, and even threaten human life, will cause significant loss of production and the national economy. Therefore, study on seismic properties of the LNG storage tank is great significance.Extended structure control theory of civil engineering in this paper, the seismic response of LNG tanks by adopting rolling base isolation is studied, and rolling isolation device of LNG storage tanks is designed. The main research works are:1. Discussed the research background and significance, described the structure forms of LNG storage tank, described the seismic theory and seismic design of the development process and the existing advantages and disadvantages, introduced the basic principle of seismic isolation technology, summarized the isolation technology advantages and disadvantages, with emphasis on domestic seismic and isolation situation and development prospects, proposed main content of this paper.2. Assumed to be rigid upper structure, analyzed constitutive of the rolling isolator with a concave board, isolation period and isolation resilience of the rolling isolator with a concave board are obtained, and the isolation layer design parameters of the rolling isolator with a concave board with spring are given.3. The outer tank of LNG storage tank is equivalent shear beam cantilever beam; start with potential theory of steel inner tank, considering fluid-structure interaction, using Hamilton principle and the virtual work principle, the isolation motion equation of the LNG storage tank under horizontal seismic excitation is derived.4. Select a typical LNG storage tank, the seismic response of two LNG storage tanks isolated devices were analyzed by numerical analysis, suggested adopting the rolling isolator with a concave board with spring in favor of LNG storage tanks.5. Parameters influence analysis on isolation LNG storage tanks of different intensity, fundamental frequency, site, damping ratio, aspect ratio and spring stiffness. Suggested select the best isolator design parameters when designing LNG storage tank isolation combination construction.6. According to the optimal design parameters of isolation LNG storage tank, the strength, stiffness and wind stability of the rolling isolator with a concave board with spring are analyzed for engineering designers.
