Pedestrian traffic is an important component of urban traffic, and a disadvantaged group in the traffic behavior. In the crosswalks that have no signaled control, the pedestrians have conflicts with motor vehicles when they cross the street, as there are no signals to separate pedestrians and vehicles. Studying the self-organization of pedestrians and motor vehicles and analyzing the crossing behavior characteristics of pedestrians can provide some basis for the traffic management planning. Then it can improve the pedestrian crossing safety. To establish a scientific guidance, rational planning and harmony traffic has great meaning.Firstly, the paper analysis the self-organization of traffic flow in the no-signalized crosswalk and the traffic situations that admix pedestrians and motor vehicles. It also points out that the interaction of pedestrian flow and vehicle flow in the no-signalized crosswalk is self-organizing behavior. Then the paper introduces the internal self-organizing behavior of subsystem of Pedestrian traffic and motor traffic. Secondly, the paper analysis the crossing traffic behavior characteristics of pedestrians in the no-signalized crosswalk based on the behavior theory. It also analysis the needs of pedestrians to cross the street, including space needs, security needs, comfort needs and so on. Then the microscopic behavior of pedestrians to cross the street is described, and the pedestrian crossing characteristic of different pedestrians is analyzed. Finally, based on the decision making of pedestrians in the no-signalized crosswalk the paper points out that the decision-making process of crossing pedestrian is a "economic" benefit maximization process of crossing behavior that adapt to the safety under certain safety awareness. Then the factors of crossing decision-making and the factors of vehicles yield to the pedestrians are analyzed. Based on these,.On the basis,review the previous decision-making model of unsignalized pedestrian crossing,and analize the inadequate in the simulation of unsignalized pedestrian crossing.Based on the awareness of the pedestrian crossing process is the interaction between pedestrians and motor vehicle, the paper establishes the decision-making model of pedestrian crossing. Compared with the previous models,the model considers the reflection of the vehicle avoid factor,can reflect the objective enviromental impact of TTC in the different speeds of vehicle;consider the gap difference of pedestrians.The model can better describe the decision-making behavior of pedestrians crossing.
