With the development of modern automobile manufacturing technology, simulation technology becomes an important car design means of the whole car or car accessories. As the fundation and core of the numerical simulation, the signal model of automotive hydraulic damper is widely applied at present. But most of them are multi-segment models based on lumped parameter, so their critical parameter mostly depends on experimental determination. Such situation is unfavorable to the exact establishment of the models and has intensified the efforts on simulation difficulty of hydraulic dampers, so the improvement of the dampers is largely limited.In this paper, improved genetic algorithm is applied in parameter identification problems of hydraulic dampers friction models. First, it analyzes the principles and stuctures of common hydraulic dampers. Then, it research into existing parameter identification methods.Finally, it thoroughly analyzes the implement of the improved genetic algorithm in parameter identification of hydraulic damper models.The main tasks finished in this paper are as follows:This paper analyzes the role of hydraulic damper, work principle and research situation and other contents. The production process of friction and its mechanism, friction modeling , simulation and related knowledge are discussed; And the advantages and disadvantages of all kinds of existing system also discussed.It analysis the existing friction model a more detailed comparative, summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of each model and the suitable operating mode. This paper select the LuGre friction model as the most suitable model parameter identification, and describe the nonlinear friction. Then established the hydraulic damper dynamic model considering the nonlinear friction reciprocating reversing.Combined with the two-steps method,the system's dynamic and static parameters are identified based on LuGre model. The identification process using the improved genetic algorithm as optimization algorithm and applies it to servo system. Compared the new method of identification results obtained with the traditional genetic algorithm identification results, it proves the effectiveness of the new method.Hydraulic damper based on LuGre model of friction parameters are identified and simulation, use the new method proposed in this paper. The identification results showed that the method using this parameter identification of the damper can obtain more accurate identification result, so, can estibilish more precise friction model. This method is proposed for the future hydraulic damper of optimized design, manufacture probides effective solutions.
