Pipeline Transport is one of five transportation means, parallels to railway, highway, aviation and water transport, which is also an important part of urban public basic facilities. It is becoming increasingly important in national economy. However, because of the reasons of pipeline's ageing, corrosion and man-made damage, the pipeline leakage accidents occur frequently, which results in hazardous material leakage, resources serious waste and atmospheric environmental pollution, huge life and property losses both for the people. Therefore, it is particularly significant for establishing a set of effective pipeline leakage detection and location system. Meanwhile, after the gas leakage of pipeline, under the action of exterior airflow and interior concentration gradient, hazardous gas diffusion will form dangerous area along the earth's surface. Therefore, definiting the diffusion scope and concentration of hazardous gas at the point of leakage is important for evacuation and rescue after the accident. Moreover, GIS is born at the right moment as a kind of new computer management system, with the characteristic that space relation corresponds to material object definitely. GIS is integrated with leakage location and diffusion of pipeline, when the dangerous conditions occurs, locating the leak point exactly provide riable bibliography information for adopting effective measures to emergency.In this article, start from the gas kinetic basic regularity in the pipeline and establish dynamic simulation model of pipeline, use characteristic method with high accuracy and better stability to solve transient model using computer. Based on characteristic method, by C# development tools, compile the dynamic simulation software of pipeline and simulate the real gas pipeline, the accuracy of dynamic simulation software is verified. Then, the theory of leakage caution and location of pipeline is proposed by author, the three-colour alarm and how to exclude false alarm are narrate in detail, and based on the dynamic simulation software the module of leakage location and caution is added, making the software more perfect.Based on the theoretical analysis, the experimental system of leakage location and caution of indoor pipeline is designed in this article, simulating the statement of gas normal operation and leakage in actual application pipeline, the configuration design and the design and development of system software and hardware of the whole set of experimental system is narrated in detail. Leakage experiment and data analysis are made in the experimental monitoring system, in order to provide experimental base for practical application of pipeline leakage detection.Finally, by C# development tool, by the Arcgis 9.3 development platform, realize the inquiring, management and analysis functions, and combine the pipeline imformation with spatial geographic information, definite the point of leakage pipeline.
