In the construction of highway in the mountains, the most common and conspicuous problem was the slope stability. In order to prevent geological disasters and protect the environment, the appropriate treatment to reinforce the slope must be adopt. The prestressed anchorage technology was one of methods to reinforce the road slope. Early in the research project, selecting two slopes in Kun Shi highway, the design, construction, test of the prestressed anchorage technology were made a more detailed study.Relying on the actual slope engineering, the classification of highway slope, usage, features of the anchorage system such as content were studied in detail . Through research of the internal force distribution of the anchorage section, anchorage mechanism of the jointed slope and the effectiveness of the preplaced anchorage system, it proposed the selection methods and the anchorage system design of the road slope anchorage system, and developed a feasible prestress sensor laying stress sensors and so on and methods of observation. The results impoved that the prestressed anchorage technology was the simple and effective construction of the slope reinforcment on the highway road, speeded up the construction progresss, reducing the project cost, and ensured the constructional quality and traffic safety.
