Prestress anchoraging technology is an important branch of geotechnical engineering which is gained widespread use all over the world in the fields of industrial and civil construction, bridges, mine construction, high and steep slopes, large-scale underground caves, reinforcement of wall rock and dam foundation, together with reinforcing and lining of various structures and buildings. Prestressed tendon is one of them and is mainly used in the reinforcement and protection of medium and high side slopes in the construction of highway and railway. It has already been considered to be simple, economic and effective. In this paper, working mechanism and design principle of prestressed tendon for embankment upper bound slope prepress, and mechanism and structure of prestressed tendon for reinforcing road cutting are researched at the first place, meanwhile the types of prestressed tendon are analyzed.By examples of tendon slab wall at Chongqing Huaihua Railway DK626+238.25~DK626+386.53 and tendon and concreting and protection at K235+820-980 of Taigan Expressway, this paper gives an detailed analysis and calculation from the points of mechanism of actions, road cut type reinforced by Prestress tendon, design scheme, stress structure, length of anchorage, construction plan, quality control, safety measures and contracture, length of anchorage, construction plan, quality control, safety measures and construction cost etc.The following conclusions are gained by research:1 ,Conclusion in retaining wall :①30—35 degrees can be used above the water table for φ angle which uses 25—30 degrees below the water table. Unit weight shall adopt damp soil weight.②Generally, the maximum bending moment could be used as calculating bending moment for analyzing the impression of redistributing after the distortion of peg.③The friction between wall and soil shall be considered in calculation of press, multiplying correction modulus by the press of peg which is not necessary in bad terrene or high water level.
