The Study On Sunken Plaza With The Use Of Underground Space

With the development and utilization of urban underground space, urban sunken plaza with its unique form, will play an important and multiple role. At present, there are many problems on the of sunken plaza space design, limiting the function full play.This thesis starts from the basic research, establishes a systematic cognition of urban sunken plaza, summaries the main problems of urban sunken plaza in space design, from activity combining space view, analyzes excellent and typical cases in Shanghai. Following the idea of questions - Analysis - solve the problem, the text is divided into five sections:The first chapter introduces the reason of the subject and research background, explains the purpose and significance of the study, and builds the research methodology and framework as the general argumentation.The second chapter describes the concepts and definite the study area, summaries the urban sunken plaza stages of development, analyzes the characteristics,function and classification, opposes the combination of space and activity view, definitudes urban sunken plaza construction problems, and provides the basis for the case investigation and analysis.The third chapter selects seven excellent and representative cases in shanghai, analyzes from five points transforming from problems: site selection and convergence,spatial feature,spatial form,spatial interface,cultural characteristics, verifies and rethinks the analysis with activity feedback, which provides the basis for the consitution of the design countermeasures.The forth chapter on the basis of the previous two chapters'cognition and research analysis, proposes counterplans on the urban sunken plaza space from classification and common aspects.The final chapter summaries the whole paper and raises the further research direction as the conclusion of this study work.
