The Conceptual System And Development Potential Evaluation Of Lowline From The Perspective Of Underground Space Inventory Renewal

With the rapid development of cities,China’s urbanization level has entered the middle and late stages of rapid development.At the current stage,urban construction land has been basically developed,urbanization is accelerating,facing an increase in urban population,and the demand for public space is becoming increasingly strong.Urban construction emphasizes the renewal and utilization of existing resources.The development of underground public spaces has alleviated the problem of insufficient urban land resources,provided more public spaces for the city,and ensured the comfort of urban residents’ lives.In the development and utilization of underground space,the emergence of the concept of "New York Low Line " provides more possibilities for the development and construction of urban underground space from two aspects: the reuse of underground storage space and the increase of urban public activity space.However,as an emerging thing,there is still a lack of systematic research on specific conceptual construction and development and construction systems.With the improvement of urban underground space development and construction,the utilization model of lowline has broad development prospects,which can alleviate the problem of insufficient public activity space in high-density construction cities.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct basic research on the concept of lowline.This article is based on relevant research and cases on the development and renewal of urban underground public spaces,combined with the development and construction of park green spaces with similar location characteristics and constituent elements such as New York Low Line,New York High Line,and Underbridge Park.From the perspective of underground space inventory renewal,the conceptual system of lowline is preliminarily constructed,and development and construction strategies are proposed.An empirical study is conducted to construct a development potential evaluation system.The research is mainly divided into five stages: raising questions,conceptualizing,exploring development and construction,constructing an evaluation system and conducting empirical analysis,and summarizing and looking forward.The specific research context is as follows:Firstly,raise the question: elaborate on the background of the research,demonstrate the diversification of urban underground space development and the demand for urban public activity space,and based on this,introduce the concept of lowlevel and explain their development significance.Summarize the existing research progress at home and abroad,explain the basic theoretical gaps in lowline research,and clarify the research object and content.Preliminary Conceptual Construction of Low Line: This is one of the core contents of this article.Based on the development process of urban underground public spaces and onsite research and analysis,the opportunities and functional styles of lowline are explained.On this basis,the concept definition and spatial form of lowline are clarified,and the conceptual system is expanded to distinguish the relationship between lowline and other underground spaces in the city,indicating their independence.Afterwards,through case analysis,the spatial structure,characteristics,form,and classification of lowline were explained to improve the conceptual system of lowline.Exploring the development and construction strategies of lowline: This is the second core content of this article.Based on the construction of the conceptual system mentioned earlier and combined with relevant urban renewal cases,corresponding strategies are proposed for the development and construction of lowline.On this basis,considering the slow progress of New York High Line and New York Low Line in the actual promotion process,predict the problems that will arise in the future development of lowline,and propose solutions from aspects such as upper level planning and policy cooperation.Afterwards,the evaluation system construction and empirical analysis of the development potential of lowlevel will be carried out: this is the third core content of this article.The planning and design of lowlevel need to evaluate the development potential of underground storage space and provide specific explanations.On the basis of the previous text,combined with relevant cases,the influencing factors of the development of lowline are proposed,and an evaluation system is constructed using a combination of entropy weight method and analytic hierarchy process to determine indicator weights.Introduce Jianghan District,Wuhan City for empirical analysis,conduct regression analysis on the evaluation results,and prove the feasibility of selecting influencing factors and the reliability of the evaluation results.On this basis,the planning strategy for the lowline in Jianghan District,Wuhan City is proposed.Finally,there is a summary and outlook: summarizing the previous research,summarizing the conclusions of the research,discussing the innovation and shortcomings of the paper,and proposing prospects for the future research and development of lowline.
