Airborne data bus technology is one of the key technologies of the modern avionics. It makes resources sharing achieved between avionics subsystems and the general processing module. So the avionics system forms a distributed computer network which centralized displayed and controlled by the system. It allows the system greater flexibility that the aircraft avionics bus connects internal subsystem, which is the inevitable trend of modern aircraft. As the tasks and powerful shouldered by the aircraft avionics system increased, cross-linked relationship between devices has become increasingly complex, and the importance and the wide application of airborne bus highlight the importance of monitoring the bus information.In the process of development, production, commissioning and maintenance of aircraft avionics systems, it is need for an integrated rigorous testing and real-time information monitoring the bus, and mastering the working status of bus and each subsystem. So it should be ensured that when the system reports fault, it can accurately and effectively to achieve fast fault location and fix, to avoid replacing equipment without trouble. So maintenance and repair capabilities can be quickly formed. Based on the urgent needs, information monitor system based on 1553B bus is designed.Portable computer as the display and control core,1553B bus interface card and data acquisition card extended, hardware platform of a common 1553B bus monitor system is built. Bus information monitor software system is compiled by LabWindows/CVI, which achieves the signal waveform acquisition, preservation, analysis, and can achieve interpretation of bus information by comparing the 1553B bus ICD database. Functions of data acquisition card and 1553B Interface Card was researched and applied. CVI programming realizes call, modify and save to the database. A good man-machine interface is achieved on functions, and it can be comprehensive analyzed by electrical characteristics of waveform and bus monitor information. it can meets of the bus system maintenance, repair requirements by the operator. It also has good reference to other similar projects.
