The Study Of Spatial Form Of Suzhou Villages

The village is a place inhabited by farmers. With the economic and social development and historical changes, forms of rural villages have taken the great changes. In the construction of new rural villages, it is must be based on different morphological types and distribution model to investigate their own development models and to ensure that the new rural construction is health, harmonious and sustainable. The paper chooses villages in Suzhou to investigate the type, influence factors and layout mode and recommend space form of the village planning.The first part of this paper is preface and literature review, which mainly elaborates the researches about the village space form and experiences of construct and summarizes for the literatures, from three aspects which were village, village space form and village remediation planning.The second part of this paper analyzes the types and influence factors of village and summarizes the spatial type form of the three villages in Suzhou, and describes the impact factors from the natural, economic and cultural facts.The third part discusses the strategy of how to build reasonable village space form. According to the problems existing in the development of villages space form, it discusses emphatically how to protect and continue about space form of traditional village and adjust measures to local conditions for village space form layout from aspects of village layout form,Public center,Street space and architectural form. The last part is the empirical research. Different morphological types were selected to discuss their impact factors and spatial patterns, and gives planning proposals for it.
