According to the spillway design of Tianzhuang reservoir, jet flow for water-air two phase flow in flip energy dissipation section is dynamically and simulation-style numerically simulated and researched successfully. In this study, two-dimensional k-εturbulent model and Water-air two phase flow is used. The simulation result is consistent with the actual physical laws.1. Based on the analysis of water flow phenomenon and character for flip energy dissipation section in spillway, simulation model is made. According to actual situation, some selections and improvements are done on the project appropriate numerical method, turbulence model, multiphase flow model, free surface treatment methods etc.2. Using the computational fluid dynamics software FLUENT, turbulence flow is simulated for flip energy dissipation section in spillway with the model of RNG k-ε. The simulation results show the water interface area (water surface) shape, and the entire flow field velocity, pressure field and turbulent energy field and the distribution of turbulent energy dissipation rate field. These results are analyzed accordingly.3. In order to improve the accuracy of the results of numerical simulation and provide a reliable basis for engineering design, physical model is also made for Tianzhuang reservoir spillway.The research integrates theory with practice through the numerical simulation establishment of a reasonable mathematical model of the water surface spillway and bucket size of its exports together with bucket flow pattern. An actual mathematical model is provided for the spillway design and model test. It can help to improve test and design efficiency, at the same time to save time and money. The results of these studies will be a good reference value for future project design.
